Attorney William M. Phillips graduated from Citadel Military College of South Carolina. He also spent 2 years in the US Army as an officer, serving overseas for 18 months during the Vietnam conflict. He was stationed with USA STRATCOM (strategic command) based on Okinawa. After his service, he studied at University of Georgia School of Law, and received his MBA.
Attorney William M. Phillips has worked with DuPont before law school. He helped found the plant in Athens, GA and worked as a supervisor with DuPont. He also helped start up Ringgold – Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce and served as the first president there. He started practicing law in March 1977 and started this firm along with a partner. Sadly, his partner passed away four years later and Attorney William Phillips continued to run the firm on his own.
